Confidence

Confidence

“If we can trust ourselves even in the midst of turmoil, we will become successful, for sure. Yes, we need to be confident.”

Read the following story to learn how to become confident.

Making a Snowman

It was a winter evening. It was snowing as usual.

Mike was in his room feeling bored. His mother asked him, “What’s wrong with you, Mike? Why do you look so upset?”

He answered, “That’s because it’s snowing and I hate snow.”

His mother found it pretty unusual. She immediately asked him, “Why? Have you caught a cold?”

Mike shook his head.

“Then, why?” she asked him lovingly.

“Mum, all my friends are busy making snowmen. Anyway, they can make them so well. But since I can’t, they tease me always. So, it’s better not to go out.”

Right then, his father said, “What if we help you in making a snowman?”

Mike’s mother added, “Yes, we can work as a team, can’t we?”

Mike replied morosely, “But they can make it on their own.”

“Come on, Mike, learn the process of making a snowman from us. Maybe, then you’ll be able to make better, much better snowman. Moreover, if you go out, you can enjoy the fine flakes of snow. So beautiful!”

Then Mike said smilingly, “All right. Surely, I will go out in the snow. Anyway, please show me the way of making a snowman so that I can make it on my own later on.”

His mother patted on his head and said, “That’s like a good boy. There, now you are confident enough to go out. Fine, wear your woollens and mittens. Let’s make a snowman together.”

They went out to make a snowman. Fortunately, their snowman became the best one ever.

Mike learnt how to roll snow balls and make snowmen on his own. He became confident and really happy.
