A Juvenile Song

  I’m still too young; I’m a little child; Give me ice creams; I’ll stay this mild.   I love chocolate bars, But I’ll soon grow up; I’ll jump, I’ll dance And I’ll sing with my cup.   I listen to myself; I snap with my fingers; I sing from my heart; My happiness lingers.   I’m full of life; I clap with my palms; I share my things With all my chums.   The elders sometimes Seem to say, “Enjoy your childhood Every day.”   What they all say I don’t understand; I do obey them; I hold mom’s hand.   I love my mom; I love my dad; They give me all That they have had.   I go to school; I read and play; I draw and sing Each and every day.   I lisp sweetly; I love my rhymes; I speak the truth All the times.   I love my friends; I help them all; I’ll never laugh at Any if they fall.   I’m a little child Who wants to know; I love the rainbow; ...
