Equality

The story-- "A Story on Equality"

“Equality gives birth to true harmony. Apart from that, it gives us true peace and true wisdom.”

Nora was the first girl in her class. She was both intelligent and diligent. Every teacher and every classmate was so proud of her indeed. However, she had a very bad habit of feeling very bossy.

One day, during lunch break, one of her fellow students fell down in the playground while playing badminton with her. She did not help that boy at all. Instead, she laughed at him.

Their teacher noticed everything from the window. After the lunch break being over, the teacher, Mr Smith, came into the class. He called Nora and the boy to come to him.

He advised Nora, “Why did you laugh at him when he had fallen down? You should have helped him instead. This was not expected from you at all, Nora. ”

Nora felt ashamed and hung her face down. That boy replied, “It’s fine, sir. I’ve forgiven her.”

Then Mr Smith asked Nora to say ‘sorry’ to her friend.

Nora said to her friend, “I’m really sorry, Patrick. I won’t do it again. I promise.”

Then Mr Smith told all of them, “We are equal in all respects, right? So, from now on, we will never do anything unjust to anyone, be it in the school or be it outside. We all should maintain equality. If we do so, we will be the happiest ones on this planet.”
