Cleanliness

The story-- "Ron Learns Cleanliness"

“Cleanliness is next to godliness. If we stay clean, we will attain success and holiness from within.”

Ron was a brilliant boy, for sure. However, he had a very bad habit. That was untidiness. That is to say, he did not cut his nails and trim his hair on time. He looked untidy altogether. Both his family members and his teachers used to tell him to stay clean and tidy always, but he never cared for such words at all.

One day, he had a severe stomach ache. His parents called in a doctor.

He diagnosed and said, “You are having such stomach ache because of not maintaining cleanliness.”

Then his mother said, “We are tired of advising him so.”

The doctor, then, patted on Ron’s head and said, “Come on, my little champ, you need to be a champion. Don’t you want to be so?”

Ron said in a clear voice, “Yes, I do want to.”

Then the doctor told him, “Then you need to stay clean and tidy, right? How can you be a champ unless and until you overcome such diseases?”

Ron promised everybody, “All right. I will surely maintain cleanliness and tidiness from now on, I promise.”
